Professor Willoughby was a great Australian inventor and visionary, but his name has been all-but-lost to time.
In 'The Robot Paper' (1955), Profeessor Willoughby wrote, 'It is my hope that, one day, human beings and robots will stand side by side in cooperation and friendship.'
With the release of this book, we - and the robots - would like to see the Professor's position as Australia’s true robotics pioneer finally restored.
Miboi
Miboi spent a long time as Professor Willoughby's assistant. Some of the Professor's genius appears to have rubbed off.
Picasso was built to resemble a wonderful artwork in one of the Professor’s books. His favourite pastime is taking apart old machines and putting them back together so that they work ‘better’.
